Different, Not Less. Limitless Potential.

Dyslexia can affect the way a person processes written language and approaches reading and spelling. But a learning difference does not determine a person’s intelligence, creativity, ability, or future.

At the Lewis Stafford Foundation, we seek to promote understanding, confidence, educational opportunity, and supportive environments for individuals with dyslexia.

Understanding Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a learning difference that can make certain aspects of reading, spelling, and written language more challenging.

Individuals with dyslexia may learn differently, but learning differently does not mean learning less.

Our message is simple:

Different, Not Less.

Areas of Support

1. Dyslexia Awareness:
We promote greater understanding of dyslexia among families, educators, students, and communities.

2. Educational Encouragement:
We support approaches that encourage learners to continue developing their abilities without being defined by their challenges.

3. Confidence Building:
We encourage individuals to recognize their strengths and develop confidence in their own learning journey.

4. Family Resources:
We seek to help families find useful information and supportive educational resources.

5. Community Understanding:
We work toward communities where learning differences are met with patience, understanding, and encouragement rather than stigma.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help create learning environments where individuals with dyslexia are understood, encouraged, and given opportunities to discover and develop their potential.
